  • WTB - A light set for a 36" planted tank

I have a 46" gal tank and I'd like get a bright enough light set to grow my plants. This is my first planted aquarium so any help would be nice too.

reply: brownbugg@hotmail.com or here is fine.

    Thanks! :)

Are you looking for a power compact, metal halide, t5, or normal fluorescent light? As far as brightness goes, you can do alot with 2 regular 3' fluorescent strips.

Well, Tim I want it to look nice as well as give enough light to make the plants happy. I didn't want to spend a ton of money...like under $50 if possible. Maybe someone has upgraded and is looking to get rid of their used setup. Do you have any suggestions? What can I do that I could make to keep me in that budget?
