I may get another for my community tank, I think about it...but your asking price is pretty high my friend.

What is the difference between the jardini and a normal common arowana that you see in stores?  Can the jardini be housed with african cichlids??

The arrowanna is a bit larger as an adult, and a bit longer and sleeker, the jardini is a bit on the stocky side as far as these fish go, and will have a bit more color to it than the arrowanna. They both are beautiful and graceful fish.

Can they be housed with smaller african cichlids like red zebras and lemon yellow?  I don't mind losing a couple for the cause :)

CF ! how about $50 each sound?

Peterp63: In my opinion. compared to Arowana, the jardini gets a thicker body when it grows bigger, and has some colorful spots on its body, fin and tail look different ---->>>better look. About tank mate, " When young, the Jardini Arowana is easily bullied by more aggressive species such as cichlids"

Man those things are cheap.  I can get them 25 bucks at that size.  Not tryin to hate.

I would pay more just to see how they taste.
I ate my fish that died.

                            They are all arowanas......

                            Jardini from Australia
                            Silver from South America
                            Asian from S.E. Asia

Jardini lack the color of those from Asia, Silver being just plain bland and foul looking body shape. The only slender body one that I think is nice is the black arowana but it looks it's best when in the fry/juvi stage but still looks better then the silver as an adult. As for the price, well that's up to what one would hand over.
                            700g Mini-Monster tank
