  • What is this and who wants it ? SOLD ! (given away actually)

Bought this guy at maybe an inch long from Mike about a year ago. He/she/it stayed in the 46gal bowfront while I traveled to London.  I don't even know what he is officially.

    Now I have this ....

He loves bottom-feeder tablets, never seems to bother the guppies/platties he's with.  So, he plays well with others  :)
He's not blind or possessed, even though the camera flash makes him look it !!

Has for sure outgrown the tank he is in. He's probably 5+ inches and top fin is probably 4'ish.  Fins are beautiful, but he really needs more space to roam.   Free to a good home with large tank.  Not sure how to transport, maybe in a 5-gallon bucket or an ice chest.

Can be picked up in Kingwood, or maybe meet on Saturday at Houston Aquarium Warehouse (I'm thinking I need to check that out after seeing the posts on the Retailer's Feedback board).

Who would like a new addition to a large tank they have ?

      Its a Synodontis eupterus.

You are correct to suggest a bucket. He can easily puncture bags. Good luck

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

jetchanic - just so you know, the Synodontis eupterus likes more neutral and even acidic waters. (pH ~6.4 to ~7.3). While it willl most certainly be able to live in harder waters (I've had them in pH of up to 7.8), it would not be an ideal tankmate for tropheus. With that said, feel free to do what you want.

I currently have 5 with rainbowfish and large barbs.

I have one in an african cichlid tank and he is doing AWESOME!!  The substrate is crushed coral so the water is probably pretty basic....
