He's got 24 left...but for what I paid for them, there's no way I'd buy more after the condition some of them came in. I found it a little ironic that he was un-willing to send me a picture of them, but since Donald had ordered his muragos from him (which are beautiful by the way), I figured it would be alright. Nonetheless, Chip is a good guy and he worked with me on the first 4 that I lost.

As of now, I have found a buyer.

Atleast there is more to add to the group to get it back somewhat.

Chip Speagle can be a *** sometimes, especially when you ask for pictures.  I think it is related to mostly that his holding facilties are lame-o and in general he is a jerk.

I agree with fshfrk.....the min. number of tropheus to start with should be upwards to 30 and not the min. of 12-15 that you hear everywhere else.

If you really observe all the threads on here as well as various other forums you will come up with the majority if not all problems related to deaths all have that in common.....small colony size.

I would not say small colony size was the cause of death.

I order 36 ikolas from Chip and lost 35 in a month..I blame my death to new tank syndrome.

Judging from the past...I would like to rule out the thought that small colony sizes don't work. I've kept a trio of duboisi's in an over stocked 55 gallon and still managed to make them breed. My old chimba colony had 15 fish in it originally, JandJ has a colony of 14 Nkonde's in a 90 gallon...Alex always has groups of Tropheus (10-15) in tanks as small as 40 breeders for months at a time.
