Are these going in the 20 with the shellies? If so the Marlieri are going to be too big and aggressive. The Ornatus would probably be the best choice, with the Transcriptus being on the fringe IMO. I have shellies and Transcriptus in a 20 long and I'm going to ditch the Julies soon because they're a little too aggressive. They're not terrors by any means, but they can be a pain when they're going after fry.

already pmed him. heard he also had dickfeldi which im thinking might be better since they re around the size of the multies. and yea these are going in the 20

The Juli's might not be ideal since they could sometimes drag female shellies out of their shells......putting them all in a 20g would require you to monitor them closely and provide a place of refuge/territory for the both of them.....Shells for the shelldwellers on one side and rock cliff for the rockdwellers on the other side.

xD got taht covered. plenty of that for both of them. wouldnt think of it if i didnt.  8)  thats also why im leaning towards the dickfeldis

I have Gold Occies together with Julie Maleri's and if it wasnt temporary I would be looking for a second tank for the two not to be together in a 20.  They co-exist, but the julie's when they dont have a rock to hide under will swim into a shell where they can get stuck (I have lost two this way)
I have not seen the shellies being bothered by them, and soon they are all going into a 110.. then we will see if there is going to be a huge problem.
(I hope not) -- Once I have the 110 up and running I am going to expand the number of Gold Occies I have.  (currently only 5, and I want to increase it up to 10-12)

Have you considered a Dwarf Comp? One might be a better choice than a couple Julies.

sorry to ask but what are they? and i wanted julies cause they re relatively harmless and wanted my tank to look more lively with more fish.

I would not do either in a 20g unless they were small juvis......another option is to go with sumbu dwarves.

isnt sumbu dwarves the same as the dwarf comp? and they sound like something hard to get. lol

Yeah they're the same. He was saying no to regular sized ones.
