Actually, if your scallops are a little too perfectly round, it is probably stingray wings that were cut.

the list of illegal fish is on the texas parks and wildlife site.basically,if its a freshwater stingray from south america,its illegal in texas.

The only legal freshwater stingray in texas is the Atlantic Stingray out of florida, all the other south american (Potamotrygon species) are ILLEGAL to own, possess, buy or sell in texas.

I am sure Fish Gallery's rays are the atlantic, they are not that stupid to carry a potamotrygon sp.
