          anytime jet, I have been thinkin of how i can get the over flow to work on it with out the gargerling sound, i know exactly what you are talking about.

              great set up, now that i really get a good look at it. Will hold lots of water, may even upgrade the pump later down the line to get more out of it.

                Great system
                I used a rubbermaid roughneck 32g tub for my DIY sump but I kept the water level too high (4" from the top) and after a year the sides began to bulge.
                it's real easy to add a level control (float valve) and they cost less than $10.
                branch off of your return line to a valve and it makes it real easy to do partial water changes.
