 Re: WTB>large piece of driftwood

you should be very careful putting just anything in there.....
you really need to cure it first....there could be alot of crud in them that could harm your fishies.....
what are you looking for as far as a price range for a large piece of cured driftwood?

A member, Asianlatinremix, I believe, did/was selling some nice pieces a short time ago, send him a pm and see if there is any left....

CFTruth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

 Re: WTB>large piece of driftwood

Any wood you find from IKE by definatin, floated up. You will need to waterlog it or bolt it to a large piece of slate or floor tile before you can use it.
There used to be a good selection around the Ferry landing but I'm sure it has all washed away by now.

The last 2 pieces I got from Islander are great but they are still floating in a 55g drum outside. I figure it'll be another month before I can use them.'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

 Re: WTB>large piece of driftwood

 Howdy Luxtralarge,

I sent you a PM this morning. Have some large pieces of nice native drift would at Fish Ranch in Rosenberg on consigment, and have some other pieces at the house. Have been selling driftwood at the local fish auctions for several years. PhrishPhreek bought some from me last month. This is not Ike wood, it is from around Texas lakes, is clean and some pieces need to be anchored. The wood is usually oak or cedar. I live near the dog track and should be driving through Houston next Wed. or Thursday durning the day. Sorry know photos, let me know if you are interested and I will load in the back of my truck with drift wood to pick from. Later, ken
