Maybe you should take pictures of them after being dunked in some water... they look totally different from what they should look like.

They're good to go. Just pulled them out of my tank about a week ago. you can always rinse them if you want though.

That extra long tube is just what I needed for this tank at the office here, I'm doing a water change now, it sure is nice, not to have to stick my arm in the water.
