LF: BIG angel fish

wat up yall, my brother has got his 55gal tank up and running and is ready to add fish. where is the best store to get large angel fish from. Or do any of you have any you want to get rid of. this is a surprise tank for his wife, so they need to be good looking fish!

are you in a hurry? if not wait till the HAS auction. the ones at the GHAC auction were about 4-5inches diameter and were going for 3-7 per bag of 2. if you are in a hurry, try fishland. some cheap quality fish.

Call Dan at HAW and see if he has any.  I just saw the thread that Tyler posted about not having any large in stock.

Give them a call first to verify before driving half way across town.

Do not mix angels with Discus. I had read Angels are extremely aggressive at feeding time and will push the discus out of the way. Discus are not as assertive and the stress of the Angels aggressiveness will bring on diseases.

I mixed them and verified above. I got rid of my Angels.

I agree -- no angels and discus.    angels just to pushy.

**BUMP**   I went HAW today and bought a large male. He is awesome looking(black w/ a little greenish color around the eyes), PLUS he sold me a really cool pleco he said he got from a friend breeder that he called a "hybrid bristle nose". The Pleco is orangish w/ black spots. He has a few more if you beat me back over there! Sorry, But i bought the largest of the bunch. Thx Dan!

Not true I have angels with my discus for years. Never had a problem out of either of them.
Years as in 5 years now.

So far i have only gotten 3-4 offers. nobody keeps big angels on here????

FYI make sure that the discuss is bigger than the angels...that should keep them from picking on him I have an angel tank and have looked into this and a friend asked a breeder for me. If they are about the same size then angels will pick on him bad.
