I run XP-4's on many of my tanks and they work great. They are easy to clean and set-up. Best feature is that you can look at the canister and see approximately how dirty it is and if it needs to be cleaned or serviced from the outside since the canister is clear or should I say see through. If you decide to add additional filtration then you can change the media out with filter material and water polish.
cant go wrong
There is no "normal" life, it's just life so get on with it.
The filter is rated for a 265 gallon as long as it is not stocked with cichlids or other large fish. I also would not use it as my only filter in any tank longer than 5ft.
I would do just like what was suggested and get a wetdry or another similar canister.
I would be willing to drop my price on it to you for $150 if your interested. let me know..
Geoff
