Update:
-the non-alpha male (I call him Beta-Male) had to be relocated to a community top/buffalo head bottom - tank. I swear, he could have eaten over 40 fish easily because they are community fish...and prob swallowed half of my buffalo heads because of his size. However, he just isn't the aggressive type. Yes, I am talking about a Jack Dempsey. This guy is in all of his splendor and coloration in this 55 gallon tank. He hides when I come to feed, lets the little fish eat first, then grabs anything in the way of food which comes near him. If he accidentally closes his mouth near ANY of the fish... including a roseline shark measuring 1.5" the fish nip AT HIM.... it is a sight to behold...
He has been in this tank for over 2 weeks.... because one day I came home and the other two jacks had him flowing on his side in the corner...and were picking on him horribly. I rearranged the tank 3 times because I didn't think he would work in the 55 since I had all of my fun, happy fish in there. Strangely enough it has worked. I have a feeling the two love birds in the 75 will be making little ones soon.
