where did you get the red root?! does it grow as fast at the frogbit.. i have more frogbit then i know what to do with .. anybody want to trade :)

I got it from HiepSTA, it was mostly dead when I got it but it's growing back slowly, don't know the rate it grows yet.

Yeah it does, it spreads by shooting stems out like rays and a small plant grows from that. You can cut the roots off too and that would grow back and absorb nutrients.

They aren't invasive

No, it doesn't grow fast, but it is very hardy. I have in in the big community pond and it survives the winter.

The leaves sometimes get burned with the heat , but they just come right back. I like the root system, I guess fry can hide in it.
