Yes Dan is cheap compared to a lot of places... but his price is comparable to this retail price but we get 20% off.

Not knocking Dan's place but his prices went up from when we initially asked him to bring it in.

Also there's the option of Dainichi which is cheap as well.

Once everything is final I will take payment.

Cash
Paypal + fee
CC + fee

Shipping will be determined when order is final so we know exactly the weight/cost/etc.

I am not benifiting none from this other then loss of time/sleep to meet everyone up and to pick up the order so please don't make it harder then it has to be.

A few friends asked for NLS and I figured this would help everyone get more food since its normally not available in bulk or not priced accordingly.

I think the group buy is good since the price of 5lb NLS I bought from HAW has gone up to $54...

I will have to talk to EK to see if CC method of payment is available, last time we paid cash to EK in turn he made the whole payment for us in one lump sum.

It would be easiest for me to take all the payments and make a single payment to the dealer.

Last time I took CC, paypal and cash. Fees apply though.

So the price difference between the group buy and HAW is $4? Doesn't seem worth the effort. I rather just drive on down to Dan's and get it there. Plus we support our LFS, so we can get a good deal on some fish later. But, hey I understand in this kind of economy you gotta save money where you can.

I don't think you read the entire thread. You failed to factor in the 20% discount plus the ability to purchase Dainichi as well. Read this qoute by EK and it will explain everything. I high lighted important points.

no I think you are mistaken....there's a 20% discount if the group buy reaches $300 or more (it seems like it at the moment) and for pple that order more than one items it will sure save alot!

The price is already cheaper and then there's 20% off on top.

I do agree that supporting our LFS is key but most of the ones that cater to our special needs don't make much off items like NLS from what they tell me.

For those that think otherwise there is the option of clicking the back button out of the thread.
