They will eat MTS's, pond snails, ramshorns, beefheart, bloodworms and regular snail fare on the bottom as well, this I know for a fact. I don't think they are large enough to take down a nerite, but this I don't know for a fact. Their max size is about an inch long and they prefer prey close to their own size.

Well they look very similar to Nassarius snails and those get really big. Also the Nerites I have are probably not larger then an inch.

Do you have yours with Nerites? or do you have any nerites you could put with yours? Maybe trial one Nerite in the tank and I would pay you back one nerite if it gets eaten so we can know first hand?

These guys don't get that big, they stay small. I don't have any nerites to test with, if I did I would. I do know they cleaned out all the ponds and ramshorns completely in one tank. Since they were easier prey without a trap door, so they were the first to go. Then they started on the mts's of which they have a lifetime supply.

I'm very happy about these snails. now I can put substrate back in 2 bare bottom tanks.

I have mine with large olive nerites. They don't seem to bother the nerites.

Ever since i ran out of MTS (a miracle in itself), I have been feeding them hikari carnivore pellets, frozen bloodworms and large flake for the adults, crushed flake food for the babies and occationaly a dead shrimp when i find one in my tanks.

From experience, they definitely won't eat boiled broccoli, hikari algae wafers, shirakura shrimp food.

they look very much like whelks.... which pretty much explains their love for meat.

I've rid my tank of 95% of the MTS in there, sump, display, etc. Now, I've only got a few little ones crawling around. Almost seems small enough to where these guys might not be able to eat them? or would they? Tank is still bare bottom. Does anyone know how fast these assassins reproduce?

I think szidlon or nacra99 will know for certain... but I've been told "SLOWLY"
