I read a place that says to control MTS you should have 1 assassin per 10 gallons anyone know if this is true?

Back when I had my MTS problem, the first step I did was completely strip the tank down. I got rid of the MTS-infested substrate, flushed the wet dry multiple times and ran the tank bare bottomed for almost 3 months. This gave me the opportunity to syphon out any that I may have missed. I also changed out all of the media/sponges. After that I put in new sand, and added 20 assassins just in case the MTS came back. It's been 3 months now and not a single MTS in sight. I doubt a lot of you would want to go through all of this trouble, especially those with planted tanks, but that's how bad I wanted them gone, and they're GONE!

They breed in brackish, but can live in fresh or salt, as well.

Yeah I have like 30 Olives throughout my three tanks great algae eaters and never have to worry about babies
