No. If it isn't meant for fish either structurally or because it has a leak, plastic won't help. For one thing, gravel stones, etc., almost anything can make a small hole in the plastic and then it's all over.

if you have two layers of glass close together then it is going to cloud due to condensation. i tried a glass / acrylic combo once. storm windows have ventilation top and bottom or are filled with an inert gas like xeon in between the panes. there was a 150 gallon wide-4 on CL for 100 bucks yesterday so i jumped all over it, turns out it was really a 55 :(75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish

I have been scouring craigslist for a great deal on a complete 125g or greater setup. I found an awesome deal a few months back on my 75g and hope to get as lucky on a larger one now.Comment
