  • If you have a HUGE tank....

These guys need a home. Their owner said they intend on releasing them into a pond by this weekend if they don't find homes. When I inquired, she offered me both for $40 but they are posted for $40 each. They are by hobby airport. Poor, not so little, babies.

This is the reason why you can... people buy these things with no heart to just give it a swift thump and toss them in the trash but instead they think its more "humane" to throw them into the bayou.

:( I feel bad for these poor fish. They appear to be outside in an empty tank like tomorrows trash. If I had the room, I'd take them but after speaking with a couple people about how much room they need... I just can't. They only free tank I have is a 75g that hubby has plans for.

I posted them here in hopes that someone might have the room and rescue them before they become pond victims. How awful is that? All your life in an aquarium and then bam... dirty pond. Can they even survive? People should learn & plan before they buy things, especially LIVE things.

pretty sure someone with a pond would like these... but im pretty sure people would just net them from the bayou instead of paying for them at this size..:/

these things will survive anywhere, that why its not smart to toss them anywhere but a private pond and even then flooding could put them in the ecosystem. there are so many in buffalo bayou that they are erroding the banks with their burrows. wish i had a placce for them, its the same damn story with iguanas except they dont usually make it past the first dog they come across
