Fluval canisters on clearance. Petco Fm1960 and Eldridge.

Didn't know where else to post this. I was in the Petco at 1960 and Eldridge a little while ago and they have two brand new fluval canisters in the clearance section. Clearance section is at the front by the registers. They have one 405 regular $220 on sale for $110 and one 105 regular $120 on sale for $60. I checked them out, the 105 has never been opened and the 405 has been opened but never used. The accessories for the 405 are still in their package and the canister still has a warning sticker on it that has to be removed to open it up.

I'm not sure what is up with this store as they often have a few brand new things on clearance for no apparent reason. nephew got a coralife 50/50 24" T5HO bulb for $1.80 a few weeks ago and I got a $85 29gallon stand for $35 about a month ago. Both brand new and on clearance for no apparent reason unless they are discontinued.

my petco is the same way, ridiculous clearance section. they cycle thru inventory very quickly, constantly getting rid of whatever doesn't sell at that particular store.

i have never understood this but will take it lol. i used to frequent a certain walmart with a crackhead manager. the clearance was crazy. i went in at the start of fall last year as they were rolling out a cart of baseball and softball bats for 2 bucks each. i bought the whole cart to donate and then i looked through them. 150$ dimarini and easton bats got weeded out and there were still plenty to donate lol. all because they were out of season.

When I bought the stand nobody could figure out why it had been marked down not once but twice. The only explanation was that it had been opened. One of the employees took it all out of the box and everything was in the wrappers and the hardware was still sealed.


It's like the filters, one of them still has the factory seals on the box and the other while opened is clearly brand new and unused. It's probably just like Ally said slow moving or non selling judging from the condition fo the fish dept. in this store in surprised they know what sells and what doesn't. By the way Ally they finally cleaned every tank, atleast the fronts of them.

i talked to upper management about that store. well they are idiots anyway, they just fired the only aquatic specialist they had in the entire district that knew what they were doing... (me) all over the confused words of a brand new associate. lol.

Oh that's not good, sorry to hear that. Hopefully something much better lies ahead for you I know it had to be hard working for a company that has the attitude that they obivously do.

At that sames store i got a brand new 50' python water changer marked down to $2.00 cause someone tore the bag everything was there complete

its cause they stock each store differently. they are constantly getting rid of whatever doesn't sell to make room for new product.
