I usually get good service there but a lot of times I just go to look at their stuff and leave with a couple of items when I find that thing I need. So I usually dont request service so I dont think I have really been disappointed there.

I didn't get them.... we were a bit rushed cause we had to make it to the GHAC meeting.

I got some other fish that I just threw into the tank before leaving but those I wanted to do a bit more research about first.

Went today and got great service. I can not remember his name the older guy with grey hair and a younger man with dirty blonde and with the short hair. They had some unique fish there today.

Just an FYI to all 5 footers. I just went to FG and they have 3 60" Odyssea 320W lights for $125 for all 4 working bulbs and $100 for one blub being out. They had 4 but I picked one up since that is super cheap. They just need a little cleaning.

went to FG the other day to get some saltwater snails couldn't find anybody to help me for a minute and had to ask the guy with the spiky hair at the counter. then as he goes to get a net someone asks me if i need help....figures. i didn't wait long though and these guys have always been helpful in the past. nothing big just thought i would share the experience. 4 out of 5 stars.

Yesterday I was asked by three different people if I needed help and one guy asked twice. They are definately get better at the customer service.

I don't go to any of the guys at the check out counter- completely useless and it's futile to ask them any questions that require any fish knowledge.

But Don is awesome and Jaime and Kevin always seem to be around and ready to help (if you can get the python out of Jaime's hands- he's the water change guy).

Did I mention how awesome Don was? :)

For the most part, I really enjoy going into this store. I actually spend more money in this store than almost all of the the others in Houston...but yesterday I was in there and had a disturbing experience. They have some really cool fish in right now and I asked if they were Malawi or Tanganyikan. The guys response was, " Well its obviously Malawi because no Tanganyikan species have egg-spots." So I replied," Well that's not true, Tropheus have egg-spots." "and also Petrochromis have egg-spots as well." and he replied,"Oh well those are the same fish"....??? I have kept both and am fully aware that these are NOT the same fish. I just feel that if you work in a LFS and dont have the complete knowledge on a customers question...you should tell them so or ask other employees their opinion. I just see it as bad policy when wrong info is given at LFS just to make a sale. however, the fish did turn out to be Malawi when I looked them up.
