Finally made it over to Sunnys. Can't say enough goods stuff. Service was awesome. Fish were numerous and prices were right. I picked up a couple of Geos Surnemensis. I know I'll be back.

        Re: Sunny's

All I can say is I have been to just about every fish store in the Houston area.
Mike is the only one that looks at things from a cutomer view point more then a sellers point of view.
With this kind of attitude it wont be long before he takes over the entire strip center.

                Re: Sunny's

hey at least he marks thme that way. i hate going nto a store and finding like 70 percent of the fish not labeled for price, just the name of the name of the fish. its infuriating and to someone who would be new to the hobby it would be intimidating. and besides just about everything in his display is on sale just as a younger form. a lot of stores will have displays and not even carry most of the fish in their displays. however i was at village the other day and they had chain loaches (sorry mike but you didnt have them and they are much closer) the only reason i broke down and bought them was because i saw how nice they looked when mature in a dislay tank of theirs, so i broke down ans got 5. now if i was starting an african tank (mala probably before a tan) i could see what fish i like before hand in mikes display and not worry about them not havng as much color when they are little.

I wasn't complaining or being facetious - I really like seeing display tanks in stores.  He also has lots of breeding pairs.

that's a great price. but i still have the two i got and they are getting bigger for their 20 gallon, so i still might sell them becausei've been to busy with life... to get another aquarium. yet.

                                Re: Sunny's

I'm a new fan of Sunny's.  Been in the aquarium hobby for 46 years, moved to Houston 2 years ago and this is the first LFS that I truely enjoy.  Mike and his staff goe out of their way to help. He has a nice, well balanced selection of healthy fish in CLEAN tanks at fair prices.  The first time I went in there I asked for some valves for a Magnum 350(a fairly expensive part), he didn't have them in stock but volunteered to order them for me and then REFUSED to take a deposit - even though he had only met me minutes before.

I've shopped 30+ stores in the Houston area and this is the only one that I will be a regular customer at.
