Macroalgae in the marine aquarium are often used as a step in our filtration (refugiums or algae scrubbers) or frustrating us as hitch hikers on our live rock or corals. But they can be used in an ornamental fashion as well, enhancing our reef tanks and feeding a diverse food web that is difficult to reproduce without them.
We will be discussing algae species we can find in our systems, defining algae, caring for it, and it's complicated life cycles. We will cover Refugiums, Display tanks, and Algae scrubbers.
We look forward to seeing you all!!!
