I'm calling out the Pro's for this one. While i'm still putting my 100 gal together, taking my time of course , i've been looking at fish. Found this little guy. Man, he's got some really pretty marking's. SO, here's where you guy's come in. What do we know about them? Hard to get or fairly common. Price. How about upkeep on the tank. I've got many question's but, I think you guy's see what i'm looking for. I've steered away from Tropheus because of the Little reading i've done about them. They sound alittle high maintenance. I'm done with he diaper changing. Way done. So, maybe these are not the fish for me. But, I can't get past all the different breeds with such great color's. I'm burned out on Cichlid's and no where near ready for the challenge of a salt water tank. . So, i've rambled. Any help would be appreciated.. This the fish i'm interested in.

keep on reading about them...things like where they come from, specified diet, potential disasters, how to fix the most common problems, and basically get a firm mental grip on WHY they are a high maintenance fish. When searching the internet, ask yourself a question about them and then find the answer through articles or previous threads. Then if you just cant find it, come here and ask specific questions. As for cost...that can vary on where you get them. There is a basic list of "Rules" when dealing with these fish. These "rules" have been tested for years at a time with great success. Yes, you can do things your own way if you want, but most people fail at these fish when thinking long-term when they do things there own way. Also, be prepared to water change at least once a week. Less than that will work, but long-term just might spell out disaster. Not really that hard to keep them as long as you just follow those who know more about the species than you. Good Luck.250gallon-Wild Angels, community

They are a little high maintenance. No big deal. Get you some troph fry, any kind and go for it. Do your water changes like Randaal said. Feed them the right food. You will fall in love with them and then get the fish you want! Good luck.200
