Got a female holding. Same one in video that was trying to break up the fight. She's a mean one. Doesn't let any fish get in her area.

So I realized after observing a female that was "holding" and "swallowing" that she has a habit of holding food in her mouth when she eats. I was going out of town and coming back so I thought I missed it but when I was observing the fish everyday and seeing a bulge in her mouth but no tube dropped I questioned if she was holding. Well I caught her to check and sure enough it was food. Saturday I did a water change and she bred. She's an excellent holder. I did another water change Monday and had some shaking and tubes dropped but no breeding. Today I did a water change and had another one breed. There's three more females who will breed any day now and I thought this would serve as an opportunity for my beta to breed but he's too scared so I guess when the male gets his juices going again he'll breed later today or tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have my first fry in two weeks or so.

Got a third female that's holding and still breeding. See how many fry I get from these three females.

I'm using that small RV filter from Wal Mart. Did big water changes every other day for a week.
