The Texas Area Killifish Organization will have its TAKO Belle Revue July 12^th and 13^th at the Hampton Inn & Suites in New Braunfels, TX.
Dr. Sue Katz Amburn from the Biology department at Rogers State University in Claremore, OK. Will give a talk on Saturday about Killifish.
Lori Green, Chair of the Lone Star Bettas, will be demystifying Betta terminology for newbies and veterans.
We are still looking to find other speakers. The San Antonio Aquatic Plant Club may do a presentation on easy plants for the Aquarium.
The show will have all American Killifish Association classes, and will have entries mail in from around the country.
The auction will be Sunday, tentative schedule to start at 11:30 AM.

Art is attempting to obtain a Texas Parks and Wildlife speaker for the afternoon as well.
Art will do one of his talks after the banquet.

TAKO Belle review is in the books. The auction went well and I got some new fish.
Something that I learn from Dr. Sue Katz Amburn talk was the fish can see in color. This can be important when picking spawning mops. Many killifish hobbyist only use dark green mops. One of our members brought some Pachypanchax playfairii to the show that he was going to sell in the auction because he could not spawn them. This hobbyist, an experience advance killi keeper always used green mops, but in the show tank his fish had a tan mop. The mop was covered with eggs. If your killifish are not spawning, try a different color mop.
