Oh, and something I just learned the hard way. Do not let it dry out after you've used it. Take it wet and dirty, recharge it, and if you have to store it, keep it moist. Otherwise, it will crack.

I had let mine dry out, and when I tried to recharge it, it turned tan, not white. After reading up on it, I discovered the caution about it drying out. I don't know for sure, but I think mine is tan now because it cracked, and when I tried to recharge it, gunk got into those tiny cracks. Now I can't clean it back out. I'm not positive that's what happened, but it seems the most reasonable explanation. I'll have to toss that Purigen out now. Fortunately, I have plenty more so no big deal.
