Decided to give LEDs a shot, and I am quite pleased. They are real bright, and the shimmer greatly makes up for the slight loss of spectrum color (at least for a FW tank). Had the fixture for a couple weeks, but just mounted it inside my canopy yesterday.

    Looks good man.

I love LEDs. What size fixture is that?

    p.s. Dump the HOB.

      Thanks!

It's a 4ft tank with a 36" double bright fixture. The lights are real directional and strong. I was able to hold it like 4ft above the tank, and it was giving me very similar light as if it was resting right above the water. Since my canopy has the doors on the front half, I had to mount it in the back. I was able to angle it forward slightly. Very pleased with how it turned out.

Yeah... the small aquaclear was just added last week for extra water movement/backup if I filled my tank too high. First time using an AC, and its garbage. Maybe only the big ones are good? This already acts like its clogged, water goes right over the top of the media from the pump and right out. I'll probably just toss it on a grow out tank

What are your plans for filtration?

All HOB are trash to me. All they do move water.

The tank already has two eheims. I just use different intake/spray bars over the bright green ones

Nice to see your and ramas 200+ gal tanks with them - figured they would be nice on a small tank!

Corals still doing good under your LEDs?
