I have 2 - Koralia 4 (the old version of the 1400) in my 150g. One on each end, but angled up to agitate the surface. I can angle them down a little later and see how they do...if you want.

Can't hurt! What's your substrate? I'd appreciate the trial.

I've got 2 tanks I can test with. Both have sandblasting sand, but one is 'sugar sand' which is super fine, and the other is larger. Larger than pool sand, but smaller then gravel.

Nice. We have the CaribSea tahitian moon sand, which is barely a little finer than blasting sand. Wasn't brave enough to do sugar sand!

Okay, I just pointed them down(ish) and I like it so much that I'm going to keep one angled down and leave the other pointed up.

I think they will work for you. It didn't move my sand, I didn't try on the sugar sand tank because I have no doubt it would have moved it. The point is, having a Koralia 4 on each end of a 6 ft. tank covered the entire area, best I could tell.

I didn't have good luck with this set up with the way my filter returns flow into the tank. Will try this once I put spray bars on so that I can angle the spray bar from the wet/dry down along with the koralia at that end.<br />

imagirlgeek, are your pumps offset up/down our side-side from each other?

Awesome. Makes me feel better about making the purchase. Thanks girlgeek!! Really cool of you to test it out for me, and I'm glad you liked the setup for your tank too!

Not sure if this is late but I find it hard to justify going with anything other than a vortech when it comes to powerheads.

                          Hands down worth every penny

Hella late Q. Lol! I think the point being made was that vortechs ARE worth every penny, if you have got every penny to drop in the first place. Ya feel me, vegas high roller? :P

You can find them used for the price oud what it would cost to get flow that tries to come close.

Far from a high roller, baller on a budget more like it.
