Im about to order some to add to my wet dry with my bio balls. Is it big enough to not put in a bag?

Yeah Josiah should be big enough for a media bag. I believe its the size of like a marble maybe bigger.

It's plenty big enough to not put in a bag, but putting them in a bag would make it easier to take out. The pieces vary from the size of two marbles to about the size of a marble. None of the pieces are uniform.

I know know for sure Fish Ranch has them, why not buy it from there instead of ordering online? Did you find some place for cheaper?

4 Liters for 21.95 at Ken's Fish. I can't imagine it being cheaper. Also, I wanted to place it in my wet dry with my bio balls.

I don't think you could have them where the bio balls are at if that's what you were talking about. They are rocks and much heavier than the bio balls. You could chunk them on the bottom portion of the wet dry though, or if you have the fancy wet drys with that first chamber before the actual wet dry portion, you could put it there.

Fish ranch has 4 liters but for $27 I think. You wouldn't have to wait for shipping.

I use it in place of bioballs in a trickle style setup on one of my tanks. Works great and there is VERY little wasted space with this stuff. Seachem says it works great this way....and I tend to believe what seachem says as they're legit

Post pics please. Curious to see how you set up your wet dry with pond matrix.

They do, they're just more porous.
