  • Installing my Eheim 2262 questions please…...

I am assembling my Eheim 2262 and finding the suction side especially is very very difficult to get the hoses to fit over the fittings slip over the pieces, quick disconnects etc is there anything i can do to help this process? I soaked the lines in hot water thinking it would help but not much if any?? This really amazes me.. The other issue I'm having is the nice spray bar that comes with the kit how do i mount this on back wall facing forward with the supplied upside down U that comes with the kit?? Looks like the easiest thing to do it mount this one one side or another spraying length of the aquarium…. Germans SMH lol

Hot water and a little Vaseline should do the trick.

Maybe a gym membership will help too :)

The water has to be close to boiling and it'll soften the hose nicely

I was going to say you weren't getting the water hot enough and/or not using enough muscle. Good job! I suspect you didn't get any microbubbles either since we haven't heard from you. I mount my spray bar on the side wall of the tank.
