Cant get rid of the Ick

Yea I am stuck.
I have been treating with Mardel's QuICK Cure for 7 weeks, following the directions and this afternoon I see a dot on my cardinal.

I have tried API Super Ick Cure and that worked ok but didn't get rid of it. I also only dosed for a week with that treatment.

I have the temp a 85degrees.
Tried to dose for 7 weeks using Mardel's QuICK Cure, didn't kill it all
I have not added salt because I have plants and would kill them.

Anyone have any other types of Ick cure meds they like better?

Anything keeping you from raising tank temp to 86°?

Something else to try is to put all the fish in a QT tank and treat them separately and not put them back in for a couple of weeks to make sure any cysts in the main tank die off. I'm pretty sure the plants are reducing the efficacy of meds as well.

Did you do salt? I used salt in my tank when I got ick and it helped.

Hah, my add makes me skip reading. I salted my tank and it didn't effect the plants that I saw.

Sorry it took me awhile to get back to the post. Got swamped at work.

No Sunny, nothing is holding me back. I will bump the temp up to 86 and see how that works.

I could give that a try as well, They are just a b*tch to catch I have about 40. I never thought about the plants reducing the meds. That would completely make sense because everyone swears by QuICK Cure.

Maybe I could try half dose of salt and see how the plants do again. Maybe I just put too much.

Is this a freshwater fish or saltwater fish when you say "Cardinal".

Dumb ? did you take the carbon out of the filter?
