I don't know about "correctly", but I just power-washed the THR that I got in Burnet (sp?) with regular water and threw it in a tank.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Muratic pool acid works. I bought it at Home Depot.

Soak it in the acid solution then rinse really well.

I soaked it in plain water and changed it several times.

      It worked really good.

I used bleach. I filled a 15 gal tote with rock and water, added 2 cups of bleach and let it sit all weekend. It came out nice and clean. A few rinses later it was put in the tank.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

I also use diluted bleach with water and let them soak in the water for about a week.

All I did was take it to the carwash and used the high pressure spray wand, and blasted dirt, roots, scorpions, Raul, and whatever else was in my way...

)...I just bleached some that I got last time I was there. just use a 1:3 ratio of bleach to water and let it soak for a couple days and then wash the rocks off and let them sit in the sun for like 2 or 3 days...this is when they get really white.
