An update , some photos n a question ??

Hi all

I posted on here a while back with regards to some fish problems

Well I am pleased to say that all is well (touch wood) and I am loving this fish I have.

My set up is 125 ltr tank
Some plants , one fake
Bog wood and nice rocks
1 x rainbow
3 danios (nuts these guts)
1 ace red platie (he is mr cool)
1 x rainbow shark ( the daddy off the tank)
5 x golden barbs ( little *****s)
1 x cervicept ( spell check on these spelling by the way)
1 x firemouth
1 x redhump geo
1 x jade eye
2 keo's

All fish to be fine , the shark is the daddy but as long as they don't go near his rock he is cool. The rest do there own thing and don't fight.

Question

When I bought the jade eye he was very dark all over with dark on dark markings ( downward stripes). He has beautiful jade markings on top fin. I come home tonight and noticed he has gone so light in colour with his black strips still. The colour is like a pinkyyellowy colour. He still got black around his eyes. Is this right??? It was just a shock as it was overnight. He is still fine and feeding but a bit worried until someone tells me otherwise

how long have you had the jade eye? if he is a new addition the coloration may be stress and should go back to normal.

At least 6 weeks. Thought it might be the fact he is maturing and that's what they do ?? He seems ok but just caught the geo chasing him a bit.

An update

My geo (redhump) is cool and is agresive. Everytime he sees the jade eye he goes mental chasing him. It is good to watch in a strange way but will this do long term damage. I have been told that the jade eye will be used to this as cichlids are used to a hard life like this.

He still has the stress stripes. He does come out to feed but hides more than he used to. I have put more plants in so there are more hiding places. It might help the lad.
