  • question about fumes

We are having our hardwood floors refinished and I'm wondering what to do about my 180. There's no way I am breaking this thing down...so the floor refinishers are going around it. What I am concerned about is the fumes from the product they put on top. Do you think the fumes will wreck the tank? Anything I should do to protect the tank and fish?

if you're really worried about it just cover the tank with a sheet while they are working and open the windows when they are done to let the hose air out.

Jason I never cover my tanks when I apply finnishes on cabinetry in my shop and you know how close my tanks are to my shop
      Don't worry about it

        Got it - thanks guys.

Just met with one of the contractors and he said don't sweat it. They'll cover the tank up to ceiling level and the water based product they are using is super low VOC.
