Finishing off the stand this week, hope to be done Saturday with the help of a fellow boxer. Stained and sealed the sides first and tomorrow will install the hardware on the doors and then stain/seal them so that I have everything ready to go Saturday. While I'm doing this I'll be swapping fish from tank to tank so the tangs will have more space on the substrate for their turfs and the peacocks will have more vertical space to swim around.

Your tanks are lovely Sunny. Just convinced the bf to get a 125g as his ENTRY into the hobby... mwahahahaaaaa guess whose tank it really is...

Thanks aquabee for the very kind words.
So he's getting your tank, I guess? But what a way to enter. I had a 55 before I got my 125 and then a 75 which got replaced by the 100 fairly quickly. I like that the larger tanks seem to hold equilibrium better and the fish definitely appreciate the extra space

I actually started with a fish bowl when I was 2, a 2 gallon by the time I was 6, and a 55 gallon by the time I was 9. And I've never personally had anything larger, except this 125g that we're doing together. Finally get to have my cichlids after dreaming about them for YEARS!

Update: Regal Blue Peacock fry are 11 days old and about 1/2" and growing. Chomping down that NLS Grow. I'm glad I got this 20L tank from Tim when I did because I've had no fry deaths since, even the cyps are doing well in there with the peacock fry now. I guess there was something in that 10 gal tank that was not good for the fish. There's about 15 albino fry in there as well. Gonna be a nice batch when they grow up.
The stand for the 100 gal is almost done as well. Will update later this evening

Thank you aquabee! I'm very happy that I have no casualties in this batch and except for couple with crooked tails, the rest are healthy and active.
Update:
Stand done! I'm happy with how it turned out being that this is the first one I've ever attempted and completed. Didn't swap the fish because I was running out of time. Had to do some work on my car as well so didn't get to do as much as I wanted to today. I put a piece of holey rock in for the time being.
And I also moved the fry tank to another stand next to the 100 gal and stuck the LEDs I got from screenname today on it. Definitely need to get a glass top for it.
Things are a lot quieter now that all the pumps and filters inside the stands
