Just that simple. Dont want to kill my fish when I add the rocks after bleaching!

Rinse very well and use de-chlornator (sp?) Smell the rocks all over until you dont smell any bleach.

    Rinse, de-chlorinator and repeat.

Honestly, I don't know about with FW, but with SW you just bleach it, and set them outside for about a week to aerate. The bleach evaps. When I did my rocks, I did that, then I put them in their own separate vat for a month. Did a few water changes too, just to be safe. I suppose I would be as cautious with FW as well. Good luck!

Excellent. I didnt figure it to be rocket science, but the tips about the decholonator (sp also) and leaving out for a week make sense. Thanks!

After they soak and I know they are clean I put my water house in the bottom of the can turn the water on low flow and let it run for awhile

After that I let them dry in the sun and smell to make sure all bleach is clean.

Dry them totally. The bleach will evaporate. As long as they are totally dry there will be no bleach. At that point when you are sure they are totally dry. I would soak them in a buckett of declor and water for 24 hrs.

at my old store they made me soak the rocks in bleach solution for 4 hours, then mix a very strong dechlorinator solution and soak overnight.
