New water mixing tub. 100 gal makes changing water on many multiple tanks much easier.

Thanks John for the tub greatly appreciated man!

Tanganyika cichlids. I mix my water before it goes in the tank. Rather than adding as the tank fills i pre mix the water and then pump it in to the tank.

So water changes go pretty fast. Once the tub is full and already mixed. Its nice that alk my tanks are within about 10 ft so its pretty simple to change multiple tanks with ease

And also since all i keep is strictly tanganyika fish all the water gets mixed the same way.

This is for a 100 gal mix-
1/4 cup tanganyika ph buffer, brings ph to about 9.0 to 9.2
Two caps of prime, soon to be switched to safe when my stock of prime runs out
And 4 cups of Epson salt.
That all mixes together and then gets pumped in the tank as new water.

Sounds like fun D! Beats my day... work from 4 to midnight. It's ok though, She-Ra the kitten is already working on polishing the glass of my tanks with her little paws. I should really consider strapping some Windex pads to her paws...

They do "ok" in reg Houston tap. But iv been keep these fish for going on about 6 years now. And in keeping on tanganyika fish their natural water is much higher in ph than our tap. And iv noticed much better colors of fish when u match the water closer to what they are used to in the lake itself. Both in breeding and the fry as well. Currently i have about 5 different tanganyika fish breeding. More if i could dedicate tanks to specific fish.
