I want my bettas to win Best Of Show at the IBC international Betta Shows this spring.
Also, I'd like to get my 175 bowfront up and running.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

I'm going to look into becoming active locally, in the Campaign for Liberty organization formed by Ron Paul, and become a bit more vocal about 911 truth.

I feel it's going to be a very tough year, and I pray we all still have our jobs and or homes by the end of summer.

...except I think they asked what our 'fishy' goals are for 2009...so I think it can stay here.  :)

My goals are to build a rack for all the tanks 55g and smaller in the office (starting today) and rearrange the Trophs into larger tanks.  Oh yeah...and get the 125g off the floor.   :?

ohh.. I was thinking what you where looking to was to get like a massive tank for all of your big fish Geekgirl :P

Well for me..  I hope to replace my 58g tank with a 215g RR fitting into the corner where my 70 is right now (moving the 70 into where the 58 sits today).
Fill it up with Tropheus and I will be happy :)

          ** edit **

After a quick consideration etc.. I am thinking this year I am going to rip out the carpet in my house (down stairs) and install tile and a "fake" hardwood floor in the living room.. then next year I am going to get a 215RR in the 6ft spot see above.

If I had a place to put it, I totally would....  But we gotta keep with the 2 large tanks for the large fish for now because Hoover hates Junior so I can't put them in together...no matter how big the tank.    I think if they were in a swimming pool together Hoover would hunt down Junior just to terrorize him...

              Re: A look into 2009

My goal is to find a half wild silver pearlscale angel to match up with one of my male zebra pearlscales to strenghten the line.

Secondary goal is to retire on my sales of Assassin Snails, but I'm not really counting on that one working out for me, at least not this year, or next year, or the year after that and so on and so forth.

My goal is to save up some money and actually get my tank started, so I can stop living vicariously through all of you.

I feel like such a poser...

                    Re: A look into 2009

                    My goals are:

                    Fish Related:
                    1. Replace my Aragonite substrate with PFS and then add Tanganyikan smooth rock to the bottom, and maybe some Neothauma shells in the 135g.
                    2. Add a Eheim 2262, and a Hydor Koralia 4 to my 135g tank. That will give me (pre-filtration/head loss) 950gpm Wet/Dry + 900gpm Cannister, + 1200gpm Circulation..
                    3. Add a canopy for 135g.

                    Non Fish Related:
                    1. Lose 20-25lbs
                    2. Build a "classic red barn styled" lawnmower/tool shed in my backyard and move everything out of garage.
                    3. Build a cedar toy-chest for my daughter with salvaged cedar from an old treehouse.
                    4. Move water-heater out of attic and breaker box from outside both to inside garage (stupid builder..), and set up new breaker box for generator plug-in support, as well as plumb additional water line for garage sink and maybe a garage fish tank expansion?
                    5. Toy with the idea of setting fish tanks in garage.
                    6. Tear out last of carpet that came with house & put down something hard (tile, laminate, wood, etc..).
                    7. Buy portable A/C in prep for 2009 hurricane season.

Of course this ALL depends on overtime and income tax - if either will show their pretty face this year..  ray:
                    Experiencing an aquatic renaissance!
