Nope Tim stopped selling completely and is down to one tank with Black Moscow Guppies. ADG and Fish Gallery get them in usually.

I have heard decent reviews of Contra-Soil from shrimpers, but nothing really from planted tank folks. Also Brightwell restarted making their soils, has only gotten pricier though. That Aquarium Place on the North Side is stocking Mr. Aqua shrimp soil, have been itching to try it as wellIn the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Same species, but just like other further inbred lineages they seem to be less forgiving and have more stringent parameter demands. Low Grade CBS are far less fussy then King Kong Tibees. Same basics apply, the rili and Sakura were a bit harder then cherries, then the Bloody Marys and Blue Rili were even harder, the yellow and orange rilis are even tougher. They are basically bred in a line so the further along the lineages you get exponentially harder and more exacting shrimp. They are not impossible, just tougher then cherries and even yellows, blues or some Rilis. I have heard and read that the orange and yellow rilis are the toughest and even Caradina folks wince when trying to keep them happy and breedingIn the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Its basically the same thing as the other Ph reducing substrates. Most differ in color and Urea intensity (thus the initial Ammonia burn of ADA, versus the milder one of Fluval. They are all clay and used techniques garnered via the Akadama soil Bonsai specialists in Japan use. Amano was a Bonsai specialist for years before going the Aquarium path and brought the idea with him along with a few others, he just marketed it well.In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Its the general Neo lineage lines. New colors and variants are bred out of the most recent ones and knowing how the lineages are related and produced allows us to know how difficult they might be and their generally accepted parameters. I have read over a few speculative neo lineage charts and this is the most generally accepted one, but folks opinions differ and there are always items of contest. The Caradina is much better know and Rah Bops did a terrific chart for it that might help in understandingIn the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Here is a SCAPE thread that is likely one of the better bases for the Neo lineages and connections, though as you can see its highly contested and argued. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

There are black neos as well, often called Carbons. Fish Gallery had some in last time I went. Carbon Rilis also exist. Someone needs to do a chart like that for neos, but thus far that really bad chart is all we have to work with. Here is a straight Carbon from SegrestIn the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
