itchy fish

I have a couple fish.... tin foil  and a clown loach who look as though they are ichting thier back... they kinda turn and flip as they come close to the gravel.... to me it looks like they are itching thier back.... anybody seen this behaivor before?

I think your talking about flashing.
Did you recently do a water change?
Did you recently add new fish to the tank?

Could be from the stress of a water change (pH change, chlorine/chloromine), low water quality or parasites.

Yeah... they are "flashing"
my fish do that when they have external parasites or gill flukes.

How often do they do that? And how many of them do that?

Check for ich or velvet. Look closely if there are any lesions or if they are shedding their slime coat.
