I haven't been to that one but the one in Katy has a nice set up too.  If ya like that, you need to check out Cabela's up by Austin....wow!!!!

Cabela's in ATX is nice!

I use to love going to the BassPro out in Katy when they had their sales.....9mm Winchester white box and 5.56 use to be dirt cheap! Think they caught on though cause people were buying by the pallets and then getting rainchecks.....I know I still have a few rainchecks for like 5k rounds.

I don't think any ammo is really cheap anymore.  I know I cringe everytime I decide to break the XD-45 out.  Last time I bought ammo it was like $65 for 250 rounds.  Even shotgun shells are outrageous this year....dove hunting is going to be expensive for those who like to waste a lot of ammo!!!!

Yeah this was years ago....

$65 for 250 rds? Try $2 a rd for .50 beowulf. or $2 a rd. for decent .308

I'm payed close to $3 for .257 Weatherby Mag.  I'm stuck because not very many people besides Weatherby load for it unless I reload my own.  It doesn't get shot very often, mainly for a deer season warm up and that's it.

Gun shows are your best places to buy bulk ammo and even there it's not really that cheap anymore unless you are really buying in serious bulk where you have some room to deal.

Delock, you need to get the semi-auto version if you are really pondering it.  I had a friend that was contemplating until he saw how much they run...LOL!!!  I think at the time it was like $8K or somewhere close to that.

+1 semi is the only way to go if you're gonna do .50BMG and last I checked $8k get's you the low model off brand one.

you know whats funny is that a .50 BMG is almost the right size for a rifle for De. Even i dont think i would want to lug one around. But if i could find an old one converted to semi-auto i would love a BAR .30-06. Im still lookin to get an M-1 Garand. and a 1911.
