You could.... but not knowing what is in the sand and what it has been exposed to I would not even bother the gas to get there or time taken or labor to carry around when PFS is dirt cheap and similar.700g Mini-Monster tank -

Take one look at the gray water and you will realize how fine the silt is. If you washed it enough to get all the silt out, you wouldn't have anything left.
All that "SAND" came down the Brazos as suspended particals.
