Re: How do you feel about the gym?

Step 1 COMPLETE - I have registered for the wellness program at College of the Mainland
I plan on spending 5 days a week eather in the pool or the weight room.
My goal for 2009 is to swim a mile (in less than 2 hours)  by the end of Summer
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

Awesome PP! Swimming a mile won't seem too bad after you've conditioned yourself in a few weeks :)
My coaches used to make us do the mile as punishment. 8)

When I was on the High School swim team, we used to do half a mile in sweat pants & sweat shirts before school started and then have practice after school
Boy I hated putting on those cold wet sweats at 6am in January, almost as much as I hated driving home into the sunset after getting all that chlorine in my eyes, We didn't have swim goggles back then.
