Although if it's legalized it will send the prices through the roof. So I guess there is a down side to legalization

I would think only because of taxes. Weed is more like beer than cigarettes in terms of being able to make it at home. I think you'd see a large number of personal use home growers.

I can speak from experience when I say that pot or weed, whatever, is for the most part harmlesss. I smoked it for over 24 years or there abouts.....I never had one "bad" episode on the drug, nor did I have any urges other than to get creative and play music. I quit smoking it easily after my son was born, and I do miss it now and then, but as far as it's impact on society is concerned, we are much better off having young folks smoke pot, then doing any other drug.

I'm in favor of legalizing it.

Same here. I've hardly picked up my guitar since I quit. I used to do a lot of design work back then as well.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

I have never done a drug in my life.

Can someone pat me on the back?

FYI: Alcohol is a drug, so is aspirin. Do you mean illegal drug?

Are you going to pat my back if I say yes?

I think it's commendable that folks follow the straight and narrow, however at the same time, I truly believe there are moments in ones life were one can learn and experience your true self in a positive way thru the moderate use of some drugs. I don't mean say that we all need to start smoking or snortin or anything like that....

If your head is in the right frame of mind, you can learn alot about yourself and how you fit into the universe thru experimentation of certain chemicals in a controled environment.....

Seriously, drugs are not to be toyed with. Folks are still dying everyday due to using drugs. Leave drugs to the medics and doctors. Drugs Kill Period.

Crack kills, meth, coke and abusive prescription drugs are killing people, and making addictive kids from birth. You ever see Crack babies, and what happens to people when they get addicted to these things? man your life revolves around one thing, where I am going to get that next fix. I know.

With weed, all I can say is tried it numerous times, dont really like it. It always made me sleepy. My mom smoked weed for about half her pregnantcy with me, and here I am...a fish nerd and a mechanical engineer.

I think weed should be legalized. I do however worry that for meth, coke, xtc, acid, and other derviatives that it could lead down the road to their legalization and I worry about that. If it was put to a vote, I would vote "YES"

if weed cannot be legalized, then it should be seriously decriminalized to the same levels as Alcohol. PI, DWI, DUI, and should have age limits, and even times when it can/cannot be sold.
