I need some help with my cheato. Lately I notice that it is losing its green color and turning brown. Before that it was growing bigger and more green in color. The lighting I have on it is an 6500k and I run the lights opposite of my tank light.My water parameters are zero across. Any advice?

Are you exporting nutrients by tossing some of the chaeto away?

Once the bush of macro gets full split it up and toss some away to keep it growing.

O man, didn't know I had to. How much should I throw out?

Will it start to release the nutrients if it wasn't being thrown out?

If I remember right, once the chaeto outgrows the system there is far less nutrients for it to soak up so it starts to die off.
