Just changed around the filtration on a tank I have been maintaining for family in Dallas and have some equipment/algae to sell. I'm in the southern part of the woodlands near the highway.
I have an ETSS Skimmer for trade. Can be in sump or external (I had it external) and it was being driven by a mag 9.5. Produced a CRAZY amount of nice, dark skimmate but I went to a lifereef skimmer to avoid weekly cleanings.

Next, since I was tired of having to drive up and maintain the lit refugium myself (the light was causing algae to grow inside the skimmer) I took out all the chaeto I had in the refugium. About a full gallon of densely packed chaeto with a TON of pods and worms. The pop population in the tank is off the charts and the chemistry was fine, so I think the refugium can go dark and not impact the tank too much.
