Hi all, I am brand new to saltwater. I am going to be slowing gathering equipment for my DT, it's a 350' gallon 5'Hx5'Wx2'D (vertical) build.
I only have the tank/bulkheads...So I pretty much need literally everything:
Lighting - T5 fixtures would need to be 48" or 60"...will also need some high pur LED spots (the depth is unreasonable)
Sump - minimum 30 gallons (might run 2 in series)
skimmer (external highly preferred, still working out sump layout)
pumps
plumbing
ghost overflows
live rock (a priority; I have to rockscape before I can even put the aquarium on the stand, due to the height)
sand
powerheads/wavemakers
ATO
RODI
heaters
cleaner (like mighty magnet, acrylic is 1.25")
controller/probes
etc
I am strapped for cash (wrong hobby, I know) but I have LOTS of electronics and cpu equipment available for trade. Some examples of thing available:
IT Services
Laptops (most are Core i5 series)
25-28"LCD monitors
Surround sound systems
ELAN home automation systems
1080p 3d home theater projector
draper projector screens
1000s of steam pc games
gaming stuff
a COLO rack full 60+ of servers
LTO Tape library
thin clients
Touchscreens
10GB/gigabit switches
....and a lot more.
