I have been shopping for one of those as well for our new house.

For right now Dry Cell battery backups is what keeps me without worries when storm times come.

My tank is equipped to run min. of 30hrs at 3500gph in the event of a power outage. I am working on a new battery backup that will further that and allow me to run at full power.

At Academy you can buy a simple air pump that runs on D cell batteries
(fishing section). Add some tubing and a air stone. It kept 5 tanks going for me while we were powerless after Ike. Would run the pump for 15 or 20 minutes and move to the next tank.

A generator is always best but this saved a lot of livestock. Lost some plants but no fish.
