          8 smaller size sets to be posted in the morning. Lots of nano pieces, and lots of short pieces to complements big pieces.

              Adding more wood to the fire

                              wood is a funny thing, sometimes it waterlogs very readily and other times it does not. Did you put into the tank when you first got it? I try to boil mine if they are small enough, before I place into the tank. Also, I nearly always tie the wood to rocks; this is for both the waterlogging process as well as keeping the wood placed where I want it.

                                i'm assuming from comments here that manzanita wood does not easily sink like african darkwood or mopani?

                                how about tannin levels?
