So you didn't recognize that it wasn't your fish and it wasn't in your tank?

after i uploaded the picture, which i did not look at, i got back to accessing this site through my phone, now, I am on a desktop. this picture was the reference as to what type of cichlids they were. they were sold to me as plum heads, but there was not anyone that I spoke to who knew what a plum head was, so i started searching, and found the picture, however, the site that i went to was a classification site for sa and ca cichlids, not this guys webpage. so it looks like both of us had used the picture.

now that i am on a computer, i can see that it is the wrong pic.

geesh, some people are so unforgiving for a simple mistake. that is the species of fish in my tank.

I have the fist, a mated pair, have produced for me 3 times, in a community tank, and now the polleni's are so big, that they can not breed without interference. so I am selling them, as there is someone who would want to have them.

They are super stressed from the polleni, and were trying to breed, the polleni, which i don't think are the polleni, as those are the peaceful species, and the other sub species is the more aggressive, which is what I think i have.

the ones you have look more like Paratilapia Bleekeri, which can be quite aggressive, especially mature males.

I think those are the ones that I have, that is why I am trying to sell my red headed cichlids......I initially bought 10, they turned out to be 8 males, and 2 females, now all that I have are 2 males and 2 females.....and would realy like to part with one of those pairs also!

what is the main difference, as I looked up the Bleekeri on the internet, and my spots are not that big, and the shape is different......what other differences can I look for.....

all of the information on the internet says the Bleekeri are horribly aggressive, and these guys are not that aggressive, they pick with my red head cichlids, but they do not beat them up, the main problem is that the 2 males that I have left were picking on the other males.

technically there use to be two such as bleekeri and polleni but from the rumors Ive heard in europe they are now all recognized just as bleeks...they just differ from the location they are caught in madagascar
ive had both and polleni does stay smaller but is much more agressive while bleekeri gets bigger but is not that crazy....by the way the female on the right looks nice even stressed..
                          HALA MADRID!!!!
